Special Screenings

A rare, first-look screening of a film in its final editing stages, just moments before its world release. The Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival invites you to watch the work-in-progress version of "Dream High" and take part in the final refinement of the film. The screening will be followed by an open Q&A session with the filmmakers, where we welcome your thoughts, reactions, and feedback.

"Dream High" is a cinematic rap opera and tribute to teen movies, where all dialogue is rhymed and delivered over beats, and music is an integral part of the story's world. Yoav, a teenager raised by a single mother struggling to make ends meet, moves to a new school where words hit harder than fists and those who can rhyme rule the playground. After the school's alpha humiliates him in a rap battle, Yoav is determined to prove himself and win the heart of Maya, the most popular girl in school. He discovers Hammurabi - a legendary rapper hiding behind the school cafeteria counter. Under his mentorship, Yoav transforms from a social outcast into a battle star, but the higher he climbs, the further he drifts from the friends who stood by him, from the girl who truly saw him, and from the honesty Hammurabi tried to teach him. At the national rap championship, in front of thousands, Yoav must choose - to chase glory or to stay true to himself.
