The Development and Production Lab for Short Films by Filmmakers from the Arab Society is a program created by the New Fund for Cinema and Television (as part of NFCT LABS), which this year, for the first time, will take place in full partnership with and as part of the International Student Film Festival!
Now in its fifth year, the program is a professional incubator for the promotion of independent short films by filmmakers from the Arab society in Israel. As part of the program, filmmakers receive script editing support from senior script editor Lior Nesher. During the festival, they will take part in workshops and one-to-one sessions focusing on directing and will participate in the festival’s program. At the end of the cycle, one project will be awarded a full production grant of 250,000 NIS from the NFCT and equipment hire sponsorship from Utopia Camera Services on behalf of the festival.
يدخل البرنامج عامه الخامس، وهو حاضنة مهنية تهدف إلى دعم وتعزيز صناعة الأفلام القصيرة المستقلة لدى المبدعين والمبدعات من المجتمع العربي في إسرائيل. في إطار البرنامج، يحصل المشاركون على مرافقة مهنية في تطوير وكتابة السيناريو بإشراف محررة السيناريو المخضرمة ليئور نيشر. وخلال فترة المهرجان، يشارك صناع الأفلام في ورشات عمل ولقاءات فردية تركز على الرؤية الإخراجية، إلى جانب مشاركتهم في فعاليات وبرامج المهرجان المختلفة. وفي ختام البرنامج، سيحصل مشروع واحد على منحة إنتاج كاملة بقيمة 250,000 شيكل مقدمة من الصندوق الجديد للسينما والتلفزيون، بالإضافة إلى رعاية لاستئجار معدات تصوير مقدمة من شركة يوتوبيا لخدمات الكاميرا نيابةً عن المهرجان
