“Short on the Way” is a collaboration between the The Israel Film Fund (ra.) and the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival, created to strengthen the status of the short film and enable emerging filmmakers at the beginning of their professional careers to take their first steps toward creating a feature-length film. This year, filmmakers were invited to submit proposals on the theme of “Rhythm.” From all submissions, five screenplays were selected, and their creators advanced to the presentation stage. During the festival, the five filmmakers will present their projects. At the closing ceremony, the winning project will be announced and awarded a production grant from the Israel Film Fund (ra.) as well as equipment and post-production grants. Upon completion of production, the winning film will receive a festive premiere screening at the opening event of the festival’s 29th edition in 2027.
