The Israeli film industry’s standing in the international arena is currently at a complex turning point. Three years after October 7th, and under the shadow of a shifting political and industrial reality, relations with festivals, partners, and audiences present new challenges—but alongside them, unexpected opportunities. The question is no longer just what the obstacles are, but how to navigate and operate within this reality: how to keep creating, screening, and collaborating, and where new spaces are nevertheless opening up for young filmmakers.
The panel will present an honest, realistic snapshot of the industry today, while offering an optimistic outlook and practical tools. Through the voices of creators and industry professionals actively working on the international stage, we will share experience, understand how the global film industry operates now, and map out a clear roadmap: where we go from here, and how to do it right.
